UofA football season is now here (yea.....?)

College football season has arrived (as has pro, but I don't follow that).  Thankfully, the TV in our ER has cable again and we can watch some games (as do the TV's in the DFAC as well).  I am also happy to be "west coast," as we get some early Sunday morning games and don't have to watch TV at 3am to follow the games!

The first UofA game began during my workout early on the Sunday morning following my Iraqi FIVE-0.  I still followed it on my phone (the ESPN app) until my workout was over, at which point I was able to watch it live on ESPN Desportes on the computer (and brush up on my Spanish at the same time :).  Unfortunately, the Cats looked horrible for the season opener! Steph was not at the game but did get to watch in Greer with Morgan, the Kersey's, and Flat Brad!

This was followed by another game that I was able to follow live on TV on ESPN (this time the English version) due to the time, but turned it off by halftime as the Cats once again made me look forward to basketball season.  I think Sport Illustrated once again cursed us by putting Tate on the cover...…

However, the last game was buoyed up by Steph and Morgan who were good luck for the Cats by attending in person.  The Cats finally found their offense against Southern Utah University (WHO???????).  I was able to follow the game on ESPN Gamecast as it OBVIOUSLY was not televised.   Steph and Morgan enjoyed the tailgaters, and sent me pics so I could live vicariously through them from afar.  They both had fun seeing friends, including Morgan's Chain Gang friend Eric, Phoebe (of course), and Octavio, who is a first year medical student at UofA that shadowed me in the ER at Maricopa and I wrote a letter of recommendation for him as well.  He even knew another medical student at the tailgate, who is the niece of one of my fellow Peoria High School graduates- small Arizona world! GO CATS!
